The SteLuTec Foundation Amateur Golf Semi-Classic Shoot Out!

CONTEST RULES

The SteLuTec Foundation does not make decisions on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or age.


1. HOW TO ENTER:

 

Print your entry form from our website. Then:


Simply play golf at your favorite golf course.  Refunds are not allowed, not even if you are having a bad day.  Drop your entry form in the mail (after you play 18 holes of golf). Your play date MUST follow the date you ordered your entry form.

 

Only forms accompanied by an official packing slip, complete with unique entry form number will be accepted.

 

Your only requirement is that you golf at a course which has obtained a USGA rating.

 

To celebrate the Fourth of July, 2006, the best scoring entry from each (one from each) golf course will be invited to a shootout.  The SteLuTec Amateur Golf Semi-Classic!

The winner of the Semi Classic tournament will win the house!

A prize winner in this contest forfeits his amateur status if he accepts any prize with a retail value exceeding the limit ($750.00 value) specified by rule 3-2 of the rules of amateur status (see http://www.usga.org/playing/amateur_status/rules/rules_amateur_status.html).

Contest open to legal US Residents only. Proof of legal status will be required of the winner.

 

Professional golfers are not allowed to participate in this contest. The definition of a professional golfer is per the USGA website. 

To be eligible to enter, you must have an official entry form, available from authorized distributors only.  The entry fee of $22.00 (US) is required to receive your entry form. No refunds will be allowed.  Your entry fee may be tax deductible (you should consult with your tax advisor).

All entry forms must include (a) the name of the golfer, (b) address and phone number of golfer, (c) the golfer’s handicap, (d) the name of the course the golfer played to obtain the score, (e) the score obtained on that date, and (f) the date of the score recorded, (g) the rating by the USGA of the course.

 

It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify The SteLuTec Foundation in writing if the entrant changes his or her address or contact information during the contest period.

 

Enter as many times as you wish! Obtain a new entry every time you golf!


An official entry form must accompany each entry. 

 

Each entry must have your name, address, email address, and phone number. 

 

 

2. PRIZES:

GRAND PRIZE.
One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded consisting of a newly remodeled house; complete with new walls, floors, electrical, plumbing, appliances, windows, siding, and roof. Artists are working to complete the finished drawing of the house which will be posted on this website.  Carpenters are working to finish building the house.  Floor plans for the house will be posted on this website as soon as they become available.

 

The house is described as a two story, three bedroom, two and one half bathrooms, fenced yard, two car garage, open porch, formal dining room, formal living room, family room, kitchen and half bath on the main floor.

Upstairs is described as Master Bedroom with Master bathroom, including a door to an open porch and staircase to the backyard, laundry room, two smaller bedrooms, and a full bath.

 

More information about the house will be made available as it becomes available.

SECOND PRIZE:
Second Prize will be made known as soon as a sponsor commits to a non-cash prize. (We are negotiating for a car.)

THIRD PRIZE:
Third Prize will be made known as soon as a sponsor commits to a non-cash prize. (We are negotiating for big screen TV's.)

 

Additional prizes may be added during the course of the contest based on corporate sponsorship and contest interest.


3. ELIGIBILITY:
YOU MUST BE A LEGAL U.S. RESIDENT RESIDING IN THE FIFTY UNITED STATES OR DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA THROUGHOUT THE CONTEST PERIOD to be eligible to win. Potential winners will be required to provide proof of legal U.S. residency to The SteLuTec Foundation to determine eligibility and as a condition of prize award. Employees of The SteLuTec Foundation, Friendly ‘Puters, LLC, their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, printers, distributors and advertising, promotional and judging agencies (collectively "Sponsor and its Administrators"), are not eligible to win. Limit one prize per name and/or address and/or household.

 


4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:
Potential winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners will be notified by email via the email address provided at the time of registration on the entry submission. As a condition to receipt of their prize, prizewinners may be required to provide any additional information (such as social security number) that may be required by Sponsors and Administrators, except where prohibited by law. Except where prohibited by law, potential winners must return all required documents within seven (7) days following attempted notification or prize may be forfeited. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable, or inability of Sponsors and Administrators to contact a potential winner may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner via the next runner up.

5. WINNER RELEASES:
All entrants, as a condition of entry into the Contest, agree to release each of The SteLuTec Foundation, Friendly ‘Puters, LLC, their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, printers, distributors and advertising, promotional or judging agencies, from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with submitting an entry or otherwise participating in any aspect of the Contest, the receipt, ownership or use of any prize awarded, or while preparing for, participating in or traveling to or from any prize-related activity or any typographical or other error in these Official Rules or the announcement of offering of any prize.

6. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
This Contest will be awarded and/or delivered only to addresses within the United States. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded, except the Grand Prize. No substitution of prize is offered, no transfer of prize to a third party is permitted, and prizes may not be redeemed for cash value. Prize winner will be solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes on prizes; if applicable, winner may receive an IRS Form 1099 for the retail value of the prize. All other expenses on the receipt and use of the prize not specifically mentioned herein are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any portion of a prize not accepted by winner will be forfeited.

7. CONDUCT:
By entering the Contest, entrants agree to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges that shall be final and binding in all aspects. The Contest Rules will be posted at www.stelutec.org throughout the contest. Failure to comply with these Contest Rules may result in disqualification from the Contest. The SteLuTec Foundation reserves the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual found to be: (a) participating in plagiaristic activities (b) violating the Contest Rules; or (c) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:
Sponsor and its Administrators assume no responsibility or liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of this Contest; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the Contest, or the U.S. Postal Service failure to deliver entries on time; (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of the Internet or The SteLuTec Foundation web site or any combination thereof.  If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned for reasons which may include without limitation, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, or the failure to complete the Grand Prize in a timely fashion; then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest in whole or in part.
